Dennis,

Thanks for your response. I don't have any idea how these problems will be resolved. Our Attorney is still waiting to hear from our mortgage lender. She filed a TILA and hasn't got any response. I thought the law was they had to respond in twenty days. It has been several months. What are the mortgage lenders trying to get by with by breaking federal law?

Steven, Unfortunately I'm hearing from an awful lot of people with experiences similar to yours...there seems to be growing frustration on the part of borrowers arising from getting tossed around these programs that are supposed to help them, only to feel like at the end of the day they got no where....a day or so ago I did a new post on the home affordable loan modification program (HAMP)..the program that is supposed to help 3 - 4 million borrowers....thus far a little over 30,000 borrowers are all that have received a permanent loan modification...it's at http://realestateconsumernews.com/financing/is-the-obama-administrations-home-affordable-modification-program-hamp-working/
It seems the real underlying problem is the number of borrowers that owe more than their homes are worth, and unfortunately the loan modification program does not address that issue...
Good luck with your situation and thanks fro the comment, Dennis

I agree the homeowners who need help the worst are being left out of loan restructuring. Our home has been in pending litigation for over a year. Most lender ignore TILA violations. They appear to be above the law.
