The housing market continues to show strength with existing home sales rising in October to an annual rate of 4.79 million homes, an increase of 2.1 percent from September and a an increase of 10.9 percent from September 2011, according to the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR). While home sales increase, the inventory of homes for sale continues to decline, reaching a five-year+ low in October of a 5.4 month supply, a decline of almost 30 percent (28.6) from October 2011 when there was a 7.6 month supply. Home prices have increased as well, with October’s median home price coming in at $178,600, an increase of 11.1 percent from a year ago. [...]

Yesterday’s existing home sales report from the National Association of REALTORS® shows existing home sales in May were at at a seasonally adjusted-annual rate of 4.55 million units which is a decrease of 1.5 percent from the month before and an increase of 9.6 percent from a year ago. The actual number of homes sold in May was 444,000 which is an increase of 11.0 percent from the month before and an increase of 13.6 percent from a year ago when there were 391,000 homes sold. [...]

Today’s existing home sales report from the National Association of REALTORS® shows existing home sales in April were at at a seasonally adjusted-annual rate of 4.62 million units which is a increase of 3.4 percent from the month before and an increase of 10.0 percent from a year ago. The actual number of homes sold in April was 400,000 which is an increase of 11.1 percent from the month before and an increase of 6.7 percent from a year ago when there were 375,000 homes sold. Today’s existing home sales report from the National Association of REALTORS® shows existing home sales in March were at at a seasonally adjusted-annual rate of 4.48 million units which is a decrease of 2.6 percent from the month before and an increase of 5.2 percent from a year ago. Today’s existing home sales report from the National Association of REALTORS® shows existing home sales in February were at at a seasonally adjusted-annual rate of 4.59 million units which is a decrease of 0.8 percent from the month before and an increase of 8.8 percent from a year ago. Today’s existing home sales report from the National Association of REALTORS® shows existing home sales in January were at at a seasonally adjusted-annual rate of 4.57 million units which is an increase of 4.3 percent from the month before and an increase of 0.7 percent from a year ago.
