Home Affordable Refinance Program (HARP) Extended One Year

The Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) announced it has extended the Home Affordable Refinance Program (HARP) to June 30, 2012. The HARP program was scheduled to end June 30, 2011.

Wells Fargo reports nearly one million loan modifications in first half of 2009

Wells Fargo recently announced that, in the first half of 2009, through lower rates, refinances and modifications, it alone has helped nearly one million American homeowners lower their mortgage payments or restructure their mortgages.
